Usage Designation
1. Prepare the preservation tube containing liquid medium in a closed state and ready for use, Flocked Swab Nasopharynx/Flocked Swab Oropharynx and Biohazard Bag.
2. position the patient’s mouth or nostrils upward to facilitate the process of taking specimens in the Nasopharynx or Oropharynx
3. open the Flocked Swab packaging at the position of the stem end of the Flocked Swab
4. insert the Flocked Swab into the nostril for Nasopharynx and throat through the mouth for Oropharynx
5. adjust the depth of the Flocked Swab when inserted and rotate the Flocked Swab for a few moments
6. remove the Flocked Swab, partially open the preservation tube cap and immediately insert into the preservation tube
7. gently rotate the Flocked Swab to move the specimen that is absorbed on the cotton swab to the liquid medium
8. immediately close the preservation tube again and store it in a storage place at 4 ֯ C.
9. put the Flocked Swab into the previous Flocked Swab packaging and dispose of it in the Biohazard Bag.
